For the people who were looking forward to seeing my Nyreen costume I have to apologize to you. I won't be doing Nyreen anymore. The reason why I decided not to do Nyreen was because so many people have made such wonderful costumes of Nyreen that I thought to myself 'hm who isn't represented enough in Mass Effect?' I think you will agree that the costume that I chose below does not get enough love in the costume community 
Newest Plans [to date]:
- Noble Six - Halo Reach [Custom Spartan]
- Guardian - Destiny [Custom Warlock or Hunter]
- Husk - Mass Effect 2 [Instead of Nyreen] [An extra bonus to making this costume is scaring all of the Mass Effect cosplayers lol]
So yep. Going to be doing a Husk from Mass Effect instead. I haven't started on any of my costumes yet since I have been busy at College but I am going to be starting Noble Six during the Thanksgiving Break
Also a little side note Zer0's default helmet is complete [as most of you probably noticed since I posted some photos] so yay! I am hoping that I can add a pistol, shield, grenade, and class mod to Zer0 before Dragon*Con 2014, but I don't know if that is going to happen because of my hectic schedule.
And a final note: I stressed myself out so much about some of my college papers that I became sick. I am now stuck with a horrible cold that is a real bother when I am trying to finish two papers that are due on the same date ._.

Oh how time changes cosplay plans...

So my last journal was back in 2012 and a lot of my costume plans have changed. I've dropped a few costume ideas, added one or two more, and switched around the schedule for when certain costumes would be started.
- Zer0 from Borderlands 2 is around 90% complete. The original helmet is currently in progress and when it is completed new pictures will be taken. Some parts of the costume will be altered to make it more accurate to the game and later on in the year [after Dragon*Con]. We will [hopefully] add on a few extra things to bring out the badass in Zer0 [a grenade, shield, and maybe a small pistol?]. If you want to check out the current version of Zer0 just click here!

Noble Six from Halo Reach
[Details]
- Helmet: Gungnir
- Left shoulder: Recon
- Right shoulder: Hazop
- Chest: Default
- Wrist: Tatical/Tacpad
- Utility: Tatical/Hard case
- Visior color: Blue
- Knee guards: Gungnir
- Armor primary: Blue
- Armor secondary: Steel
- Extras that might be included: Plasma grenade, Frag grenade, M6G Magnum Sidearm, and possibly a jetpack [not 100% sure on the jetpack yet]
[Details are currently unknown since Destiny has not been released yet. Destiny will be coming out sometime in 2014. If you are interested in learning more about Destiny click here!]
Three classes have been shown so far and I am leaning towards the Hunter class. I will update this once the game comes out with my class, race, armor, guns, etc.
Nyreen Kandros from Mass Effect 3 [Omega DLC]
[Details]
- Animatronics will hopefully be included in the eyes so that they can blink [maybe even move? Depends on my skill with animatronics when I start on her]
- Moveable mouth [tongue and teeth included inside]
- Mandibles that can twitch slightly
Nyreen was going to be first in this list until I decided that it would be cool if I added animatronics in the face to give her some life. I didn't want to have to deal with contacts that weren't 100% accurate so I thought some fake eyes would be a nice touch. I realized that the eyes would be staring at people constantly though so the idea to make them blink slipped into my brain. Along with the blinking eyes I wanted to be able to make the mouth move and for people to see the tongue and teeth inside of her mouth.
The ideas kept on flowing and eventually I decided that the mandibles should twitch too like they do in-game when turians talk. With my utter lack of animatronics experience I have started doing some research into animatronics. Before you can run and start doing crazy animatronics you have to crawl and do some small things first and learn how everything works. That is why I am pushing Nyreen back to give me some time to gain knowledge and practice with animatronics.

- Iorveth from The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings

In the Omega DLC that comes out November 27th there are rumors that [finally] a female Turian will be shown. If she actually appears in-game and I like the in-game design of her then I will totally be doing that.
I said this on my last journal but I will say it again: It is too expensive to do the Collector Armor at the moment. I shall try to start working on the Collector Armor again sometime during the summer.
EDIT: The female Turian has been revealed. Her name is Nyreen Kandros, she is ex-military, she is a friend/enemy of Aria T'Loak, and she is also a sentinel. Want to see what she looks like? Check out this link then! -> thegamefanatics.com/wp-content…

I have some bad news concerning the Collector Armor from Mass Effect. It is too expensive to do it at the moment for us. If we did the armor right now it would not be up to our standards. We are still going to do it, but we have to put it on hold for a while. We will most likely start working on it again during the summer. Since we are not working on the Collector armor we will be starting on Zer0 from Borderlands 2 very soon.

Dragon*Con was AMAZING!!!!

Hello everyone! I am back from Dragon*Con and it was FANTASTIC. I had the best time ever. This has been the best con yet and now I can't wait for next year! I met so many awesome people and I still can't believe that Dragon*Con actually happened! I already reserved my hotel for next year!!!
The costumes that I wore to Dragon*Con:

-Nurse from Silent Hill
-Mage Marian Hawke from Dragon Age 2
-Commander Shepard [Kasumi DLC dress] from Mass Effect 2
When I was running around at Dragon*Con as Commander Shepard in my Kasumi DLC dress my wonderful friends from Pillar of Dawn Studios let me borrow their amazing Viper sniper rifle from Mass Effect. If you want to see more work from them check out their website! -> pillarofdawn.net/
